T-shirt Revamp

I was in topshop recently, browsing through the sales and picked a muscle vest top for 20 euros, I tried it on but just felt it wasn't worth the money!
Last Wednesday I was the YSI (Young Social Innovators) Showcase 2013 ( a competition for raising awareness about problems around Ireland)
There were different stands, and EVERYONE were getting these free black t-shirts! The stand was called http://www.sexualviolence.ie/ ! In order to get the t-shirt you had to like their facebook page.

Because I was bored this evening I decided to jazz the basic t-shirt up to a muscle vest top!I actually really like the design on the top.
Sorry I don't have any steps or anything , but I just said I'd put it up! Basically I cut off the collar and the sleeves with a fabric scissors. After I pulled the arms of the top down, to create the longer 'sleeve' effect.
Again a complete cheaper alternative to the 20 euro one in topshop! :)

Like the facebook page please guys :)

Non Slip DIY Clothes Hanger

So recently, I've been getting so annoyed with my clothes falling off hangers, I tried buying the fabric hangers but they're fairly expensive. I was messing around with old t-shirts and thought of using scraps from the t-shirt and wrap around a basic metal hanger and low and behold it worked! So this is what I'm gonna show ye today!

1.An Old T-Shirt
2.A clothes hanger
3.Fabric Scissors or a good quality one
4.Sellotape
Step 1.
  • Cut half an inch long strips of the t-shirt
  • Make sure they're long to cover a decent amount of the hanger
  • Cut as many strips as you want
  • Don't make them too thin

Step 2

  • Wrap the strips around the hanger

  • This is what half of it look like after wrapping continuously
  • To secure the end, wrap it with a small bit of sellotape!
Step 4
  • Its basically a repeat of step 3 until you get to the end of the hanger and again secure stray ends with sellotape
  • Your end piece should look like this :)

  • I'm so happy I found out this cheap and easy way of not having your clothes slip off the hangers all the time!

    Hope you enjoyed :D

Mini Haul

Did a bit of shopping last week, so I said I'd show ye what I bought!

1.Herbal Essences Clarifying Shampoo
Basically my hair is so so oily and gets greasy really fast! My hair has been like this for nearly 2 years now! It always felt heavy as if there was a lot of build up in it. I've tried every cleansing shampoo out there, nothing had worked! So finally I came across this gem. Its a clarifying/cleansing shampoo, so it gets rid of any build up in the hair! I am proud to say it actually works :D My hair feels so much lighter and healthier, gets rid of the greasiness and just gives your hair a good cleaning ! The smell of it is also really nice! Well worth the buy!! I bought this in boots for around 4.00 euros!

2.Navy Bird T-shirt
I've actually looked through my wardrobe recently and noticed I have so many navy or blue things :o anywaaays I love this t-shirt, and the bird design on it! Its a nice light summer top which you can wear with anything! And I got it for absolutely nothing in penneys/primark for 3.00 euros

3.Royal Blue Skater Skirt
I've been on the look out for a skater skirt for aages, and after debating between so many, I finally decided on this. Again its such an easy colour to put stuff with, for example, I cant wait for summer to wear this with the t-shirt I just bought and my navy vans! But the skirt is a nice fit, high waisted and flows nicely. Penneys 7.00 euros

Hair Dye Review

So I blogged a post about 'Should I or Shouldn't I' last week! And as you can see I did end up dyeing my hair in the end!
So I used the John Freida Precision Foam Colour in 10B Extra light beige blonde.

I was so scared to use it!I picked up this colour by mistake, and tried to return it but unfortunately I wasn't allowed. I had seen reviews about saying 'oh if you have golden tones in your hair, it would turn out yellow' or else I saw images of really whitey white blonde, which of course I wasn't aiming for at all! My roots were badly needed to be done, so I said I may as well give it a go! I was really impressed by it! The coverage was really good , and although it didn't give me the colour on the box( which was expected) it made my hair much lighter and as my friends quote "fresher looking". My roots were amazingly concealed!
The box contained a colourant, developer, conditioner(which smells amazing!!) and gloves!
The only thing I'm afraid of is, I still think I have that brassy tone in my hair, and I hate that! I'm not sure though!Comment below!! It's pricey enough for a home dye 15.00 but it is so worth, I would recommend it to a friend, but not so sure about buying it again!

Thanks for reading, hope ye enjoyed :))

What I Bought In Dublin

Okay guys, first of all I just want to say, really sorry for the delay of this post, I've had a lot of trouble trying to edit the pictures and my laptop has been snail slow, so sozz about that :)
So as you can see, I didn't buy a whole lot in the end, but I'm really happy with what I got!

1.Soap and Glory Hand Maid I bought this in boots. It is a hand sanitiser/ hand cleansing gel! Omg guys the smell off this is so amazing! It'll make you wanna put this on your hands all the time! My hands feel really fresh after and its handbag size friendly too! 3.50 euro

2.Grey Jumper I bought this in Forever 21. Its a really nice wool material! This jumper is really good for lazy/casual days and it goes with a lot of things which is even better! 15 euros

3.Revlon Colour Stay Foundation This was another purchase from boots! This is my recent everyday foundation! I changed to the normal/dry skin formula, simply because my skin has changed a lot this year. I just love it, its a complete staple product of mine. I'm not going to go into detail about, as I will do a complete review on it soon! 17.50 euros

4.Light Wash Skinny Jeans I wanted to update my jeans, and for a change I decided to go with the light wash denim, which was weird because for many years I have hated that type of jeans! These are a good fit but are very tight, and hard to take off, but they look nice on I guess!
This was bought in Bershka for 12.99 euros

5.Royal Blue Jeans Yes I bought another pair of jeans!! so I went with the spring trends and got these gorgeous Royal blue coloured skinny jeans! I bought them in Forever 21. They're a nice fit and not skin clinging ones, and there actually easy to get off surprisingly enough! Again these can be worn with a lot of other things 21.50 euros

6.Khaki Army Jacket I had been looking for a spring jacket for ages, and could never find the right one, but I found it! Again following the trend of the Army coat inspired, it's a nice material , there are stud embellishments on the shoulders and strings at the waist, that can give the coat a better shape! The coat is a nice weight for the spring and summer! I bought this in penneys/primark 30.00 euros

That is it, hope you enjoyed !
More blog posts coming up soon slan x

Should I, should I not???

Okay guys my hair is in bad need of a dye but I picked up John Freida, precision foam colour in extra light beige blonde, and I think its the wrong colour??
My hair is dark golden I guess , so I decided to google what the dye is like , and apparently if you have golden bits in your hair, this turns it yellow! So I'm fairly peed off, seeing as it cost 15 euros and all!
But please leave a comment below on what you think I should do!
Heres a pic
Bottom right is my hair colour now(dont mind me :P)

Thanks guys x
